Hi Friends, so here’s the deal. I’m often asked for free advice, even though I spend a lot of time posting free content on my social media channels. So what’s a healer to do? Well, I dusted off my VC hat. I’d never suggest a founder offer free services unless they were running a special promotion to gain customer feedback. In this case they are still receiving an email address, feedback from a customer form, promotion from an influencer, referral or testimonial. Right? So here’s what I tell founders (and myself) to do – set boundaries!
Hi (Name) –
Thank you for your message. I appreciate you reaching out to me. This is a problem a lot of my clients struggle with. If you would like the details of my (offer) that helps (ideal client) overcome (problem) and (results of your offer) please let me know and I can send you the details. Otherwise I think you will find these 3 posts really helpful to get you started (link 3 of your posts).
Enjoy the day!

(Website / Contact Details)Having boundaries is important, but it doesn’t mean you can’t still provide guidance and serve. 98% of people who ask for free services aren’t intentionally being disrespectful, they just don’t understand your boundaries. The fact that they’ve reached out to you suggests that they trust you. Treat them with kindness and they will remember it when they’re ready to invest. Plus, serving your audience, listening to their questions, and having genuine conversation with them is always a win-win. You cannot provide value unless you’re clear on the problems / pain points your ideal customer is trying to solve.
Enjoy the day!
