Hi! My name is Takina. I am a neurodivergent and nonbinary 30-something who adores books, learning any and everything there is to know, and becoming the best version of myself so I can help others.

I spent the first 20-21 years of my life as a devout Christian before I realized it didn’t quite fit with my personal beliefs about morality. To me, Christianity didn’t offer satisfactory answers to my questions, such as How is it fair to condemn someone to hell just because their beliefs do not align with Christ when they are still good and kind people? How can an all-knowing, all-powerful, and benevolent God allow cruelty, violence, and disease in the world? Especially when they affect children. I needed to learn more about the world to find the answers for myself.

For about the last decade, I’ve dedicated myself to finding the truth – learning about all sorts of religions and spiritual practices with a particular focus on Buddhism, mindfulness, meditation, and Wicca. Mindfulness has been especially healing on my journey as I have mental health struggles that affect every aspect of my life.

Now, I’ve joined this online community to continue expanding my understanding of the world, so that I might be a light in the growing darkness to guide others home.
