Intro Bio | Standing on stage in Vegas making stacks of money as an exotic dancer , I had a devastating realization: I was completely disconnected from my own body. Despite 25+ years of professional dance training, my body had become a machine that performed on command. Two days later, my world imploded —affair discovery, divorce, bankruptcy, single motherhood. I was surviving on Adderall and Red Bull, working six nights a week until dawn trying to figure out how to put my life back together. In my bathroom mirror one morning, repeating BS affirmations I didn’t believe, a voice said: “Move. You can trust me.” That hour of intuitive movement—crying, stretching, rolling on the floor, became my lifeline. It wasn’t about looking good or performing; it was about coming home to myself through body wisdom. This awakening led me to pursue trauma-informed yoga certification (200 hours) and somatic stress release training (completing September 2025). I discovered that the body holds both our deepest traumas and our most profound healing capacity. Movement became my pathway from performing confidence to embodying it, from ignoring my intuition to trusting my body’s intelligence completely. Now I use my decades of dance training along with yoga and somatic stress release to guide professional women back into their bodies through The Body Intelligence Collective, individual coaching, and corporate workshops. My clients learn to self-regulate through movement, make decisions from embodied wisdom, and show up with authentic presence whether navigating boardrooms or family dynamics. I’m excited to partner with Awakenpedia because true spiritual awakening requires embodiment. Consciousness without body wisdom is just pretty theory. Real transformation happens when you can feel the truth in your nervous system and trust the intelligence that lives in your bones, not just your thoughts. |
Fun Fact! | I was once a backup dancer for Beyonce on a major awards show! |

Reviews
Reviews | Tanya, TX Moving with Lily and spending time in the good company of the community she is bringing together leaves me feeling light and in flow, seen and connected. I jump at the chance to spend a Sunday morning with her instead of at my regular yoga class. Tier 2 has become my self-devotion practice—it’s there when I need it most. |
Reviews | Jenn W, Founder Viasomatic A needed antidote to the difficult work of discussing the socio-political roots of trauma, Lily’s presence and grounded guidance are always a balm for the soul of our community. Lily’s work in Austin directly amplifies equity in Austin’s diverse arts and cultural sector. By creating inclusive, trauma-informed communal movement spaces, she ensures that historically marginalized groups have access to healing and self-expression. Her efforts help to prevent cultural displacement, promoting a vibrant and diverse artistic landscape in Austin and increasing access to wellness. Lily is not just teaching dance and movement in the spaces she facilitates; she is guiding people through practices that mitigate the negative impacts of stress and trauma and drastically improve health outcomes in the community. She offers communal movement spaces that are inclusive, trauma-informed, and that give people pathways to healing through the body. |
Reviews | Leslie P. The increase in my movement due to the work with Lily led me to be more flexible in both my personal and professional lives. Also, I’ve recently experienced a family tragedy that led to emotional coping and subsequent weight gain. I feel like by keeping movement at the forefront, it allows me to still feel sexy and confident, despite my disappointment with my outward appearance. Lily’s coaching reinforces that movement comes from within and what’s within is most important, and by expressing that, the superficial physical limitations cease to matter. |
