• Thinking about Thoughts

Most of us think we ARE our thoughts 🤯We believe they are reliable guides, wise advisors, and accurate reflections of reality. But they are not always.

Thoughts are incredible storytellers… and sometimes they are terrible fact-checkers.

They can misunderstand a simple trigger, mix it with old emotions, add memories from years ago, and suddenly create an entire parallel universe based on fears, beliefs, past experiences, dreams, signs, and everything we have ever lived.

The mind is constantly trying to protect us. But sometimes its protection system is like an overdramatic friend who sees a shadow and immediately prepares for an apocalypse. 🌪️

Have you ever noticed that our brain can create an entire movie… without asking for our permission?

🎬And the funniest part? It even wakes us up in the middle of the night just to make sure we don’t miss the premiere: “Welcome back! Tonight’s feature presentation: 10 imaginary problems, 3 old memories, and a dramatic prediction about the future.”

We give so much power and attention to every thought that knocks on the door of our mind. We invite them in, we give them full attention, we offer them a comfortable chair, make them coffee, and sometimes even allow them to redecorate the entire house.

But thoughts are just visitors. And not always reliable ones. They are simply a message passing through our awareness.
Some arrive carrying wisdom, clarity, and gentle reminders.
Others arrive wearing a tiny panic hat, dragging a suitcase full of imaginary problems, old fears, and stories that were never actually true.

And here is the really interesting part…
not every thought that appears in our mind is even ours. Some are echoes of things we heard, words someone once said, beliefs we absorbed, fears we inherited, or ideas we picked up along the way without even noticing. A thought can visit us without even belonging to us.

The secret is remembering: A visitor can enter our home…
but it does not mean they own the house. We are the one holding the keys. 🔑✨

We are not the voice in our heads. We are the awareness listening to it.
The sky is not the clouds passing through it. And we are not every thought passing through our beautiful human brains.

Next time your mind creates a dramatic story, just smile and remember:
“Thank you, brain. Amazing imagination. But I will decide which movie we are watching.” 🍿✨

      Less thinking… more feeling. ✨
Because sometimes our mind deserves a little vacation. And we deserve it too 😂.

Take a breath and let that one land. 🌬️
