🧩 WHAT HAPPENS… AND WHAT WE MAKE IT MEAN

      Something happens.

Then, almost instantly, our brain starts writing the subtitles. 🎬

Someone reacts in a way we don’t understand, and we think: “They’re angry with me.”

We read a few words that trigger something in us, and suddenly: “They’re judging me.”

We feel something we can’t explain, and our mind rushes to find a reason: “Something must be wrong.”

But what if there is a whole invisible space between what happened and what we decided it means?

That space can contain our history.

      Our expectations.

      Our fears.

      Our assumptions.

      Our nervous system.

Our beliefs about ourselves and other people.

And sometimes… our imagination wearing a very convincing disguise. 😅

      The event is one thing.

The meaning we give it is another.

And that tiny gap is where awareness can enter.

Instead of immediately asking: “What does this mean?”

      Try asking: “What actually happened?”

Then: “What am I adding to it?”

That pause doesn’t mean ignoring reality, excusing bad behavior, or pretending everything is fine.

It simply gives us a chance to separate the facts from the story.

Because sometimes the thing that hurts us isn’t only what happened.

It’s the meaning we attached to it.

And sometimes… that meaning deserves a second look. 🔍🌱
