Life is not testing us. It's giving us a playlist. 🎶
It’s easy to say we’re peaceful when nobody annoys us, patient when everything goes our way, and healed when nobody touches the wound we swore we’d already dealt with.
But life has a curious way of giving us opportunities to practise what we preach.
And here’s something worth remembering: we don’t just get what we want. We get to experience what we are.
Our frequency plays a particular kind of music. And people, situations and experiences playing a similar tune tend to find their way into our lives.
If we’re playing the music of self-respect, we become less available for disrespect.
If we’re playing the music of inner peace, we stop auditioning for dramas that don’t need another cast member.
And if we’re still playing People-Pleasing FM, don’t be surprised when the universe keeps sending requests for another song. 😂
When the music we’re playing creates a beautiful experience, fantastic! Turn up the volume and enjoy the dance. 💃
But when we keep attracting the same exhausting dynamics, repeating the same patterns, and wondering why life feels like a rerun of a series we’ve already cancelled…
Perhaps it’s time to change the music.
Not by trying to control everyone around us. Not by demanding that life rearrange itself according to our preferences.
But by changing what we bring into the world: our beliefs, our boundaries, our choices, our reactions and the way we treat ourselves.
When we change the music, we change what we resonate with, what we tolerate, what we choose and what we’re available for.
And as we change, our relationships and experiences can begin to change too. Some people will dance to the new rhythm. Others won’t. Some situations will transform. Others will simply stop making sense for the person we’re becoming.
We don’t need to drag everyone onto our new dance floor. Some people were only familiar with the old song.
The wisdom is understanding that we cannot always choose what life brings to our door, but we can choose what we entertain, what we nurture and what we continue to participate in.
So before asking the universe to change the playlist, let’s check what we’re broadcasting.
Are we playing self-love or self-abandonment?
Trust or fear?
Freedom or the same old emotional karaoke?Because life is not asking us to be perfect.
It’s giving us opportunities to practise being the person we say we want to be.
Change the music. Embody the frequency. Let life respond.
And please, if the same lesson keeps showing up, let’s at least stop pretending we don’t recognise the song. 😂🎶💜

“Others will simply stop making sense for the person we’re becoming” is something I needed to hear.✨
