The Frame Technique – So Simple, So Effective (to restore Boundaries and no reaction mode)
This quiet practice has reshaped how I move through my days.
Each morning, I use “my” version of the Frame Technique: five still minutes, just gazing at a tree outside my window. No effort to think, only to notice. To feel. To let the noise soften.
The tree, instead of a candle flame, becomes my anchor. Its steady presence gently calls my scattered energy home. It centers me. Grounds me. Reminds me where I end and the world begins.And throughout the day, whenever I feel the pull to react, I return to it. Two deep breaths. Eyes fixed on a single point. That’s all it takes. Suddenly there’s space, between the trigger and my choice. I’m no longer tangled in the chaos. I’m back in the frame. Clear. Composed. Choosing from purpose, not pressure.
It’s so simple it almost feels ridiculous… until you experience just how powerful it truly is.
