As an Indigo that started using heroin at age 14 because I simply never felt comfortable in my own skin, I can say that I have found addiction to be quite common in Lightworkers, Starseeds, Crystal Kids, and Indigos. I celebrated 9 years of sobriety back in March, 8 years of no incarceration, and now I am a homeowner, late-in-life mom with two children, a certified addiction recovery & life coach, Reiki II practitioner, certified crystal and sound healing practitioner, certified credit counselor, crypto enthusiast, investor, and so much more.
When People ask me how I did it, I tell them two things: #1 Altruism- I help people all day, every day. I get hurt for it sometimes, but I stick with it, and I can’t tell you how rewarding it can be. #2 The Law of Attraction. I made small positive changes over time, and those small changes led to HUGE results that I could have never anticipated. I had never been permitted to go to long-term treatment. Not once. I was epically failed by the justice system before addiction was determined to be a disease, and the thought of other young men and women going through that hurts my heart.
They determined that I wasn’t worth rehab, and I allowed how they felt about me to determine how I felt about myself. Big mistake. The moment I eliminated their thoughts and conclusions, I decided I was too good for jail. That is the moment my life changed forever. Please, if you’re struggling, reach out. I get it, and I will talk to you at no charge. Anything I can professionally and ethically do to help. I will. Check out the blog post Why Lightworkers Face Addiction and How to Fight It, and I would love to hear from anyone with similiar experiences, if you’re out there. I am here for you. Please, everyone, introduce yourself. As far as I’m concerned, we’re family.
