Karuna Ki Reiki — Advanced Compassionate Healing
Karuna Ki Reiki is an advanced Reiki system that works deeply with the emotional and energetic layers of the being through compassion and conscious presence.
This form of Reiki supports grounding, inner stability, and deep emotional integration, allowing healing processes to unfold without force or overwhelm. It works gently yet profoundly with subconscious patterns, emotional wounds, and long-held energetic imprints, while maintaining a stable and safe healing container.
In my work as a Certified Reiki Master, I offer structured 1:1 Karuna Ki Reiki sessions, held with intention, clarity, and professional presence. Each session is guided to support alignment, integration, and conscious healing at a pace that respects the individual process.

I have been studying and practicing Usui Reiki for years but have never tried Karuna Ki Reiki! How are they similar? How do they differ?
Do you use many of the same symbols?

Yes — Karuna Reiki is built on top of Usui Reiki, and to practice Karuna, one must first be a Usui Reiki Master.
How they’re similar:
Both are hands-on / distance energy healing systems that channel Universal Life Force energy, work with intention, and support balance on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
How they differ:
Usui Reiki is the foundation — it’s excellent for grounding, overall alignment, calming the nervous system, and restoring energetic balance in a very clean, steady way.
Karuna Reiki is more advanced / specialized — it tends to work deeper with compassion-frequency healing, emotional layers, trauma patterns, karmic imprints, and spiritual integration. Many practitioners experience it as “softer but stronger,” with effects that feel more expansive and multi-layered.
Symbols/techniques: Karuna introduces additional symbols beyond the Usui set, aimed at more targeted healing (emotional/spiritual layers), while Usui uses the core symbols as the main toolkit.
The Karuna Reiki energy is different from that of Usui Reiki and, in fact, most students consider it much more powerful than Usui Reiki energy. The energy is felt much more clearly in Karuna Reiki and it works simultaneously with all the energies of the body. Students did not feel only the simple flow of energy from practitioner to patient; the energy surrounded them — both the practitioners and those receiving the treatment. At the same time, profound effects of the treatment were observed.
And yes — at my events you experienced both Usui and Karuna energies: Usui as the stabilizing base, and Karuna as the deeper, heart-centered transformative layer.

I’ve experienced both Usui and Karuna Reiki but never understood the relationship between the two!
It certainly feels more empowering with that layered approach and I find it fascinating! Reiki never ceases to amaze and mystify me!!✨
