• This little locket holds so much more than a photograph.

      It holds a beginning.

My parents, newly married, full of youth, hope, and all the unknowns that life would one day bring. When I look at their faces, I feel tenderness for who they were then—and for all that came after.

Families carry stories. Some are beautiful. Some are painful. Some take a lifetime to understand.

I’ve learned that healing doesn’t ask me to erase yesterday. It invites me to hold it with compassion, to gather the wisdom, and to choose how I want to live today.

This image reminds me that every generation begins with dreams, and every heart carries both love and limitation.

      So I honor the past.

I honor the people they were.

And I gently return to this day—this breath, this moment, this opportunity to live with more presence, more grace, and more love.
