This photo of my oldest and youngest sons was taken many years ago while visiting the homestead.
When I look at it now, I feel the sweetness of that season — the laughter, the climbing, the exploring, the way children find adventure in the simplest places. The homestead held so many stories already, and on that day, it held another one: my sons together, sharing a moment that became a memory I still treasure.
There is something tender about seeing your children at different stages of life, side by side.
One older.
One younger.
Both carrying pieces of my heart.
Family has taught me again and again that love does not stay the same — it grows, stretches, changes, and deepens through every season. It lives in the everyday moments we don’t always realize we’ll want to remember forever.
This image reminds me how precious those ordinary days really were.
Family teaches me how love keeps growing.
And today, I’m grateful for my sons, for the homestead, and for the memories that continue to hold so much love.
