Powerful Healing
When I look at this photo of Finn with my client, I’m reminded of how quietly powerful healing can be.
On this particular day, my client arrived carrying a lot—old stories about not being “enough,” a nervous system on high alert, shoulders pulled tight around a tender heart. Words were hard to find, but her body was speaking clearly.
Finn felt it before either of us named it.
As we stepped into the paddock, he watched her, then slowly closed the distance. No hurry. No agenda. Just presence. When she finally let herself lean in, he rested his head against her chest—just like this—and everything got very still.I could see her breathing change.
From short and guarded… to longer, deeper, softer.Tears came, not from overwhelm this time, but from relief. She whispered, “I don’t have to be strong all by myself, do I?” Finn’s answer was this steady, unmoving embrace. He didn’t try to fix her pain. He simply stayed—holding the weight of her story with that big, gentle body.
In moments like these, I’m reminded that strength isn’t the absence of struggle.
It’s the resilience that rises when we’re finally safe enough to feel what we feel… and discover we’re not alone in it.Finn and the Healing Herd do this so naturally: they stand with us in the middle of our mess, and somehow, being truly met makes room for our own strength to emerge.
If your heart is tender today, may you feel this kind of support—soft, steady, and right beside you.
