Being Unstoppable
When I think of what it means to be truly unstoppable, I think of my friend Rhoda.
There was a season when Rhoda lost her ability to walk. Overnight, the simplest things became hard—getting dressed, going to appointments, moving through the world the way she used to. No one would have blamed her if she’d decided to shrink her life down and give up on her dreams.
But that’s not who Rhoda is.
Even from her wheelchair, she kept showing up—on calls, at events, for her team, for her friends. She chose faith over fear, over and over again. On the days when her body was tired, her spirit kept saying “yes”:
“Yes to being of service.”
“Yes to encouraging others.”
“Yes to believing that God and the universe were not done with her story.”I watched her reach out to others who were struggling, listening deeply, offering prayers, sharing hope. She kept building her business, nurturing relationships, and celebrating other people’s wins as if they were her own. Her dreams didn’t get smaller because of her limitations—if anything, they grew stronger and clearer.
And then, slowly, with time, faith, and sheer determination, she began to regain what she had lost. Step by step, literally. Her courage on that journey has inspired countless others—because when you see Rhoda smile and wave from the stage, you know the price she paid to be there.
Rhoda reminds me that success isn’t about having an easy path. It’s about choosing to keep going, to keep loving, and to keep believing—even when the road is steep.
If you’re facing your own hard season right now, I hope Rhoda’s story whispers to your heart:
Don’t give up. Keep showing up. Your determination is part of a much bigger conspiracy for good in your life.I’m so proud of you, Rhoda. Thank you for lighting the way.
