“True meditation is about being fully present with everything that is—including discomfort and challenges. It is not an escape from life.”
      — Craig Hamilton

      Spiritual Significance:
In the gentle embrace of this teaching, we find that meditation is not a retreat from the tapestry of life, but rather a fuller engagement with it. Craig Hamilton invites us to recognize meditation as a dance with all that arises, including the shadows we often wish to sidestep. When we meet discomfort with presence, without the urge to flee or fix, we unlock a profound gateway to transformation. By allowing each moment to be exactly as it is, we cultivate a deep intimacy with life, nurturing a foundation for genuine peace and awakening.

      • So very true!!

As someone who spends 9-10 hours meditating every night (instead of sleeping), I think it can become easy to choose meditation over other human experiences, as it’s so easy to fall in love with meditation and connecting with Spirit!😇✨

I struggle with social anxiety but I now carry mindfulness from my meditation practice into my daily life and that has been very rewarding. But I still find it tempting to escape from human reality through meditation!💜💙
