Love in Motion
When I look at this photo, I don’t just see lumber and ladders—I see love in motion.
This is my husband and our sons building my timberframe office space here at Healing You Sanctuary. Board by board, beam by beam, they were literally raising the structure that would hold so many tender stories, brave conversations, and quiet moments of transformation.
What you don’t see in this picture are the years that came before it—the losses, the financial stretches, the doubts, the times when my dream of creating this Sanctuary felt too big or too far away. There were plenty of detours. Times when we had to pause, regroup, and ask, “Is this really possible?”
And yet, we kept listening.
Kept taking the next loving step.
Kept trusting that the vision placed on my heart was there for a reason.The day these timbers went up, I felt something settle inside me. Watching my family work together—laughing, problem-solving, measuring and lifting—I realized that the real masterpiece wasn’t just the building. It was the journey that brought us here: the healing, the forgiveness, the courage to begin again, and the willingness of the people I love to put their hands and hearts to my dream.
Now, when clients walk into this space and exhale, when the Herd gathers outside the windows, when a nervous system finally softens and remembers it’s safe—I think of this moment. Of dust in the air, sun on wood, and my husband and sons quite literally framing a future none of us could fully see yet.
If your path feels messy or delayed right now, I hope this reminds you: detours don’t cancel the dream. They shape it. They shape “you”. And one day you may look up, like I did, and see that every twist and turn has been quietly building the masterpiece of your life.
