Emotions are an experience. Not an identity.
Feelings are like pop up notifications.
Useful.
Sometimes urgent.
Often badly timed.“I am anxious.” “I am angry.” “I am overwhelmed.”
Careful. That’s how a temporary emotion gets a permanent job.
We are not angry. We’re having an anger moment.
We are not anxious. Our nervous system is just being a bit dramatic today.Emotions rise, peak, and leave.
Unless we invite them to redesign our personality.Instead of “I am stressed,” try “I’m noticing stress right now.”
Same feeling.
More space.
Way better decision making. This isn’t about suppressing feelings or pretending to be zen.
It’s about feeling the emotion without letting it run the company.Feel it.
Learn from it.
Let it go.
We’re the fingerprint.
The emotion is just the ink. 😉
