Hi, I’m Sam—writer, creator, coach, and living proof that rock bottom can be the foundation you rebuild your life on. After nearly two decades lost in heroin addiction and the revolving doors of jail cells, divinely guided, I clawed my way back into the light, one gritty, imperfect step at a time, to prove them all wrong, (#ProveThemAllWrong). Today, I’m ten years sober, a homeowner, a mom of two late-in-life miracles, a certified coach, reiki, sound, & crystal healing practitioner and a woman who refuses to let shame, fear, or society’s labels define me.

I run Progressing Not Perfecting, an Alternative Holistic Wellness & Personal Transformation Platform: built on raw honesty, resilience, authenticity, and transformation. My work blends recovery, spirituality, and personal growth in ways that are real, unpolished, and deeply human. I write to connect. I create to heal. And I share because I know what it’s like to feel broken and forgotten—and I also know what it’s like to rise anyway.

I’m not here to preach perfection. Quite the opposite, really. I’m here to prove that progress is powerful, messy, and enough. Whether through my blog, coaching, my ember series, digital products, or guided meditations, my mission is simple: to help others find hope in their darkest places, reclaim their voice, and remember who they are because I never had that, and I can’t let anyone else feel those feels.
