      Sugar has a way of making everything feel a little softer.

      In this moment, standing beside her, I wasn’t thinking about all the places I still needed to go. I was simply here—grounded by her gentleness, her quiet presence, and the kind of love that asks nothing except truth. She seemed to understand that some of the deepest healing happens when we stop striving and allow ourselves to be met exactly where we are.
