Quote of the Day! 💬
“Stop talking, stop thinking, and there is nothing you will not understand.”
— Sengcan, “Hsin Hsin Ming”Spiritual Significance:
In the stillness beyond words and thoughts lies a profound simplicity, an innate wisdom that eludes the chattering mind. Sengcan invites us to embrace silence, not as a void, but as a doorway to the infinite. In releasing our need to analyze or label, we access a deeper knowing that is always present. This teaching encourages us to practice the art of being, where understanding arises naturally when we rest in the heart of pure awareness.Corina(Arashaya) Todoran and Victoria1 Comment-
In the spiritual community, we often talk about silence, quietude, stillness and the importance of cultivating a calm, receptive mind.🙏
Yet to “stop thinking” is a learned skill and stepping stone to meditation and connection, one that is a seemingly-impossible task for anyone who is beginning a spiritual journey. It’s taken me years to “stop thinking” and I still need to practice daily!
I’m curious about other people’s experiences with meditation.
Did quieting your mind come easily to you?
Do you, the members and partners here on this forum, meditate daily? And, if so, was/is it still a struggle to quiet the mental chatter?
How long did it take (weeks, months, years?) for you to settle into a comfortable meditation practice? And do you meditate daily?
Thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to share their experiences with meditation, connection and silence!✨
