There are moments here at the Sanctuary when time seems to slow down.
In this image, Belfyre and I were working with a client, but the real work wasn’t about doing more. It was about listening more deeply.
Belfyre has such a gentle way of inviting presence. He doesn’t ask anyone to perform, explain, or figure it all out. He simply stands in the field with what is true.
And in that quiet space, the body begins to speak.
A breath changes.
A posture softens.
A feeling that has been held for years begins to have room.
Something inside remembers, “I don’t have to rush. I can listen.”This is one of the sacred gifts of working with the horses. They meet us beneath the words, in the wisdom of the body, where so much healing begins.
There is wisdom in the body when I slow down enough to listen.
And every time I witness a client discover that for themselves, I feel grateful all over again for this work, this herd, and the healing that becomes possible when we are truly present.
